The Cabinet of Curiosities
Our Odd Origin
Quicklance began in a dusty attic above a London bookshop in 2021. Founder Elara Vesper, a collector of "things that don't quite fit", discovered a trove of Victorian-era oddities — a mechanical singing bird, a lunar map drawn on vellum, and a mirror that seemed to whisper. She realized the world needed a place for these misfit marvels.
What started as a small Etsy shop quickly grew into a full-blown cabinet of wonders. Today, we source from estate sales, independent makers, and forgotten archives across the globe. Every item in our collection tells a story — and we're just the custodians, passing them on to the next curious soul.
We believe that the unusual shouldn't be hidden — it should be celebrated.
✦ Our Guiding Constellations ✦
Authentic Discovery
Every oddity is verified, researched, and given a provenance card. No mass-produced fakery — only genuine curiosities with character.
Ethical Sourcing
We partner with responsible liquidators, eco-friendly workshops, and never support stolen or illegally traded artifacts.
Storytelling First
Each listing includes the lore, history, or odd fact behind the object. You're not just buying a thing — you're adopting a story.
Curious Community
We host online gatherings, share restoration tips, and encourage collectors to share their own cabinets. Strangeness unites us.

Why We're Not Your Average Shop
Most e-commerce sites treat products like commodities. We treat them like characters. When you buy from Quicklance, you receive:
- ✨ A handwritten-style provenance card with the item's backstory
- ✨ Packaging that feels like opening a time capsule (recycled, beautiful, and weird)
- ✨ Access to our private "Curious Collectors" Discord
- ✨ A surprise oddity sticker or vintage ephemera with every order
We're not for everyone — and that's the point. If you've ever felt that the mass-produced world lacks soul, welcome home.
The Oddity Promise
If you're ever dissatisfied with the strangeness (or lack thereof) of your purchase, we offer a 30-day return window. No questions asked — though we might ask for a story in return. Every purchase helps us preserve forgotten artifacts and support independent oddity makers.
